How do I participate?
Sign up for our competition and compete at any time from March 22nd to April 12th, 2025.
Competing teams may choose to take the test in a call together virtually or in person.
Anyone participating in the in-person TMT competition is ineligible for the online competition.

Individual Round: An individual 60-minute round consisting of 30 challenging problems.
Speed Round: A fast-paced, 20-minute round where competitors attempt to solve 80 fast and easy problems.

A: Yes. You can register at any time before April 12th.

A: TMT Online is the virtual segment of the Tennessee Math Tournament, allowing students from around the world to participate in a competitive math environment.
Q: How much does it cost to compete in TMT Online?
A: It’s completely free!
Q: Are calculators allowed in the competition?
A: No. Calculators and other external resources are not allowed during the competition.
Q: Can students from different schools form a team?
A: Yes! Teams can consist of students from different schools, organizations, or even different regions. There is no requirement that team members be affiliated with the same institution. This flexibility allows friends with shared interests in mathematics to compete together regardless of where they attend school.
Q: If I’m registered as a team, do I still need to sign up individually to take the individual contest?
A: No. If you’ve already signed up as a team, you do not need to sign up again as an individual to take the individual contest.

A: The competition window is open from March 22 to April 12, 2025. Participants can choose any convenient time within this period to complete the competition.
